Innovative collaboration between the Milan municipality and the Italia Nostra Center for Urban Forest (CFU)that manages urban green areas since 1974, creating the Caves Park and Forest in the city. The projects, participative and sustainable also economically, led to the recovery of abandoned or underexploited lands of natural interest that formed along with other available areas a green belt of over 1000 hectares in western Milan.
