Casa Broglia Hotel of Corona Grossa

The building positioned at an angle, has preserved the structure of the sixteenth century, with the presence on the ground floor of large arches where the shops were. It belonged to the Broglia family from 1323, where they managed the Albergo della Corona Grossa with its stable for horses. Precisely for this service, the ambassadors received at court usually stayed there.

Casa Broglia has rediscovered the original shapes after the recent restoration of the 1990s. It is particularly evident with regard to the arches on the ground floor, not visible in the 1929 photograph.
