The appendix of Piazza San Carlo. An atrium to enter in the baroque square.
This square is the arrangement of the complicated space behind the churches of San Carlo square, created in 1930s, with the opening of the southern stretch of Via Roma Street. It has been entitled to the National Liberation Committee, who led the partisans in the last months of World War II, in opposition to the Nazi police who had their Turin headquarters in the hotel overlooking the square.
