Piazza Carignano Torino

The square was created in the 17th century as a designed space in front of the Palace Carignano and expanded in the 18th century by Alfieri. It was visited by very influential persons over the years thanks to the public functions of the palace but also to the important activities surrounding the square such as the theatre Carignano, The Academy of Sciences, The Egyptian Museum and last but not least the famous Ristorante del Cambio.
