The perfect proportions of the square

The proportions of the new small square in front of the palace reveals the precision of the Guarini's direction. Its amplitude of 21 meters corresponds to the curved front of the palace while the diagonal lines, starting from the middle of the church, on the opposite front, fall to the edges of the palace, embracing the whole facade. The present proportions are very different, given that the church has not been realized. Could it possibly be the "church project for Turin" which corresponds to the last table of the Civil Architecture treaty of Guarini (1737) ?

The outline shows the precision of the proportions between the square and the palace. The dotted line corresponds to the front facade which delimits the present square.
