The reconstruction of the 1930s reproduces original columns
It was needed to take action on the porches for static reasons, with masonry pillars that encompass the original pair columns (Benedetto Alfieri, 1764). The original layout of the front is reintroduced in the reconstruction of Via Roma in 1936, in the fronts adjacent to the two twin churches.
La facciata sud della piazza è l'unica in cui si possono vedere le coppie di colonne, così come le aveva concepite il Castellamonte. Si tratta tuttavia di una ricostruzione degli anni '30.
