A Torino Piazza San Carlo
In the square were exposed death sentences issued by the king. A song (Brofferio, 1831) intones "In Turin, in Piazza S.Carlo / there is written a great sentence [...]" referring to the repression of the Carbonari protests of 1820-1821 by Carlo Felice.
