The biggest market in Europe

The market is still a go-to for the city thanks to its cheap groceries, always evolving along with the anthropological changes of the city, and in some cases anticipating them. In the 1960s the consumption of the Southerners was concentrated here, while in the 2000s migrants started populating the area. Today 75% of the fruit and vegetables stalls is owned by Moroccans.

The market is divided into different merchandise sections and is open all year round thanks to a very efficient organisation of the mobile stalls and its excellent infrastructure.
