Вулиця Дерибасівська / Via Deribasovskaya Odesa Urban Hromada

The street is named after Jose de Ribas, the first mayor of Odessa. Here was his house, and later his brother Felix lived here. But the street, was not named always like this. Initially, it was named Sadovaya, and since 1804 Gimnazskaya (Gimnazicheskaya) Street, after the Gymnasium which opened in that year.
