A precious help
When the hospital reached a considerable dimension, the Cottolengo brought a supplication to the royal house, which was accepted in a good way. In 1833, King Carlo Alberto grant the longed-for legal recognition to the Piccola Casa della Divina Provvidenza. The Cottolengo's charism strongly influenced the king, who was always very generous towards the Institute.
