The start of the work

In this house,the priest Giuseppe Cottolengo founded the institute of Divine Providence in 1828. The structure contained only four beds. It is situated between the city hall and Piazza Castello, in Via Palazzo di città, 19. Because of an epidemy of cholera, the small hospital was closed. It didn't have the suitable hygiene conditions.
