Piazza Carlo Alberto Torino

At the corner of the square with Via Carlo Alberto, a seventeenth-century palace with a rich history of many functions and became known for the events of the twentieth century. In the fascist period the Palace was Casa Littoria, with a balcony to enrich the citizens; before the war prisons for the anti-fascists were built in the basement, which can still be visited today. But the main event associated with the palace, used for the humanities faculties of the University is the occupation of 1967, first act in Italy of the student protest exploded the following year.
