A place carée

The rigorous design of the squared square, with a French taste, is respected as coinceived in the expansion plan. In reality the isolated blocks are only partly characterized by large dwellings, while for the most part they are completed with modern housing, which is thickened to its maximum in the Jewish ghetto, located in a block near the square.

The map is drawn from the detailed work of the Cavalli-Murat team on the housing history of Turin. In the picture are highlighted the big buildings, different from the minor-building blocks: more divided.
