The finger of Columbus
A few meters from the Royal Library, there is a singular sign of superstition. They say rubbing Christopher Columbus' pinky finger brings good luck. The bronze medallion, a memorial to the Italian soldiers who fell in Latin America during the First World War, is now oxidized, except for the finger, shiny for touching to appear gold.
