The construction of the hamlet dates back to the 15th century. The village is more like an archaeological site and it was born within the Valentino Park as the pavilion of the Italian General Exposition that took place in Turin from April to November 1884. Destined for the demolition at the end of the Italian General Exposition, it became a civic museum in 1942.
