Since 2007, the big collection of ceramics associated with the cult of Osiride in Umm el-Qaab is the object of study under the research project of the German Archaeological Institute of Cairo. The ceramic proves the cultural activities of the late Old Kingdom, through all the stages of the Egyptian history to the Ptolemaic, Roman and Coptic Era.
