Кам'янець-Подільська фортеця / Castello di Kam"janec'-Podil's'kyj Smotrych
Medieval castle of the city of Kamenetz-Podolsky, one of the historical monuments of Ukraine.
The castle presumably dates back to the time when the Kievan Rus' dominated those territories, although the origins of the fortress have not yet been clarified. From 1362 to 1424, it became the outpost of the Lithuanians and from 1434 to 1793 the Polish authorities took control of it using it as a defense structure against the campaigns of the Ottoman Turkish Empire.
